Student Success
Students are the heart of our community, and they will always be my top priority. Every student in Allegany County deserves a safe, supportive learning environment and the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. I will bring an educator’s perspective to every decision the Board makes — shaped by more than 25 years in education, including 18 years as a teacher and school administrator in Allegany County Public Schools and my current work in higher education supporting teachers earning their master’s degrees.
Teacher Support
I have witnessed firsthand the amazing professionals who have dedicated their lives to our students. As a former teacher and administrator in Allegany County Public Schools, I am committed to ensuring educators’ voices are heard, respected, and reflected in Board decisions. When we support our teachers and staff, we strengthen every school in our county.
Parent Communication
Schools are strongest when families are true partners. As a former parent of students in our school system, I understand how much it matters to be informed, heard, and welcomed. I will work to keep communication between the Board, our schools, and our families open, honest, and consistent — built on collaboration, not just announcements.
Fiscal Responsibility
Our community entrusts the school system with significant resources, and every dollar should work for our students. With experience as an administrator, I understand school budgets and how funding decisions affect classrooms. I will be a careful, transparent steward of our schools’ resources — investing wisely in the people and programs that move students forward.
